Steel Halls

From Bucheon DND

History[edit | edit source]

An old dwarven city in Mirekal where tunnels once were often lined with natural veins of mithral as thick as an arm. It was once the pride of Mirekal and one of Liberty's greatest allies. The city built the Stairway to Heaven. This structure holds a place of both pride and hatred with the inhabitants of the Steel Halls. The Stairway to Heaven is seen as the dwarves crowning achievement. It is a beautiful structure that has lasted through, the day of a thousand suns, centuries of war, and even the spell plague. On the other hand it is seen as the symbol of Dwarven oppression.

When the humans first came from Arf the dwarves helped them build their cities and helped craft weapons so the humans could defend themselves from the Orcs. This alliance quickly pushed the orcs and golbinoids out of the richer lands and lead to a period of great peace until the Inquisition of The Forgotten. The Humans went to war spreading their religion and destroying any documents and artifacts that mentioned any gods other then the true God. The builders were said to be better crafters than even the dwarves. But since the time post builders the dwarves are the worlds crafters.

Current Times[edit | edit source]

The finest smiths in the world work here. These caves are the only home for dwarves in the country. To protect their craft, only trusted merchants ever meet the reluctant miners. The mountain is also terribly booby trapped and well defended. The Dwarves have gathered and turned the mountain into a terrifying mountain. The human crusaders couldn't make it more than 100 feet up the mountains as slopes as hot oil and boulders crushed them. A treaty was signed but both sides remain angry with each other. The dwarves have recently started to make a rocky alliance with the city of lumbridge in order to balance the power against Liberty. Many say that king Ruenor is planning out his grandfathers wish to eradicate the city of Liberty. Others rumors swirl about the forgotten gods. Some say the dwarves are hoarding builder artifacts

Famous People[edit | edit source]

Ruenor Deathhammer[edit | edit source]

A blustery and fiery dwarf who is "Gruff even for a dwarf". Ruenor is an older dwarf who is known to lead dwarves in battle right on the front lines. He is a diplomat as well. He opened trade with the humans of Lumbridge seeing the mutual benefit of them driving back Orcs and making Liberty weaker.

Ivan Rockfist[edit | edit source]

Considered a traitor by the people of the Steel Halls. He is the head guard for Lumbridge but also helped create the trade deal with his life rival Ruenor. Often called "Stilts". Runeor often uses him as political ammunition when things go sour with Lumbridge.
