Weave Manipulation Test

History[edit | edit source]

The first mage Gildong gave his magic out freely to all who would come to listen to him teach. This lead the King to lose control of his upper nobility and caused strife and slowed the kingdom down as they prepared for war. So King Carshan made a test where only those worth would gain access to upper magic. He split the Yeouiju stone into fragments of different sizes and created bonded tattoos to use each chunk. The chunks were placed at different levels of the tower and given access to different levels of weave manipulation. The King then asked the demi gods of each floor to protect the chunks as a trade-off to have peace with the humans.

The test[edit | edit source]

The test is not a singular test as many outsiders believe but it is a series of test that takes place in the Tower of Gods. The Tower used to be the home of the water god Habaek before he was defeated by Gildong. The tower only accepts those of a certain will who have proven themselves to even begin the tests. After that the tower will give them a test they must complete on each floor to move up.

The early floors are designed to weed out those who would later cause trouble or ruin the tower while the later floors are designed to rank the participants. Only the strongest participants can even enter the tower as the Shinsoo (신수 divine water) is too thick for people with weak weave manipulation.

The Demigods of the floors have allowed nobles with the title of Shiheomgwahn (시험관) to administer test in their place. While demigods can override any test the Shiheomgwahn are the ones actually in charge.

As you move up the testing floors you will gain new ranks which grant you more rights under the the Magi Immigration Act. The highest anyone has advanced is 134 floors. This is held by the Current king. No one has reached the top of the tower but it is believed anyone who does so will have a wish granted to them.
